In this role, you will manage key day to day commercial and contract administration activities across the maintenance environment. You will play an important part in ensuring contractual obligations are met, commercial processes are followed correctly, and best practice standards are consistently applied.
Your responsibilities will include
- Supporting core commercial functions including procurement support, cost control, contract administration and reporting
- Administering subcontractor and supplier arrangements to ensure compliance with contractual, legal and internal requirements
- Managing and assessing subcontractor payment claims in collaboration with the maintenance team and site supervisors
- Ensuring accurate cost allocation and supporting correct financial tracking of project costs
- Coordinating timely payment of approved claims in line with subcontract agreements and relevant legislation
- Supporting procurement activities including RFQs, tender evaluations and award processes in accordance with procurement plans
- Maintaining strong commercial documentation, records and reporting
- Liaising closely with procurement, finance and maintenance teams to ensure consistency and accuracy
- Explaining commercial processes clearly and guiding stakeholders through the correct way of working
- Helping uplift organisation, compliance and consistency across the maintenance space
- Supporting subcontractor performance monitoring from a commercial and process perspective
- Previous Procurement, Contract or Project experience – ideally in civil, infrastructure, or utilities
- Strong commercial and legal acumen
- Confident managing claims, negotiations, and contractor relationships
- High attention to detail in reporting and compliance
- Well presented and an excellent communicator
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
