    Location: Brisbane | Hybrid working

    The Opportunity
    A leading professional services organisation is seeking an experienced Contracts Advisor to join its Risk & Compliance function. This role plays a key part in supporting client engagements by providing sound legal and commercial guidance on contractual arrangements and regulatory considerations.

    Working closely with senior stakeholders across the business, you will help shape outcomes that balance risk, compliance, and commercial priorities in a fast‑paced, client‑focused environment.

    This role is being offered on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract.  

    Responsibilities:
    • Provide commercially focused advice on client contracts and engagement terms
    • Review, negotiate, and assess contractual risk, supporting stakeholders with clear mitigation strategies
    • Enable compliant onboarding of new clients and delivery of client commitments
    • Coordinate responses to client questionnaires, audits, and compliance reviews
    • Collaborate with legal, operational, and leadership teams to resolve contractual issues and negotiations
    • Build trusted relationships that support effective risk discussions and timely decisions
    • Improve contract review processes by identifying risks, themes, and efficiency opportunities
    • Ensure all work aligns with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and governance standards
    • Exercise sound judgment, discretion, and professionalism in all matters

    About You 
    • Legally qualified with experience in contract review and negotiation
    • Strong commercial judgment with the ability to communicate risk clearly and confidently
    • High level of discretion when handling confidential or sensitive matters
    • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
    • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
