This role leads the establishment and ongoing maturity of an enterprise-wide data governance program. You will embed strong governance practices, lift data quality and capability, and enable better decision-making across the organisation. Working closely with business and technology stakeholders, this role plays a critical part in improving how data is owned, governed and trusted.
Key Responsibilities
- Define, implement and continuously improve the data governance framework
- Establish policies, standards and procedures across the data lifecycle
- Engage and support data owners and data stewards across the business
- Lead governance forums, workshops and data literacy initiatives
- Monitor governance maturity, risks, metrics and continuous improvement
- 5+ years’ experience in data governance, data management or data quality
- Strong knowledge of metadata, lineage, data quality and privacy concepts
- Proven ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders
- Experience defining governance metrics, reporting and frameworks
- Understanding of technical concepts and structures
