The Opportunity
With significant regulatory change on the horizon including digital platform obligations, ESG and investment disclosure, payday super and insurer-related legislative updates, this organisation is building out its compliance capability and this role is central to that.
You'll review and approve disclosure documents, provide real-time compliance guidance to brand, marketing and communications teams, and ensure all member-facing materials meet regulatory requirements. The first six months will be weighted toward disclosure work before broadening across other functions.
This isn't a heads-down technical role. The team wants someone proactive, who communicates clearly, manages stakeholder relationships confidently and seeks answers rather than waiting for direction.
What You'll Be Doing
- Reviewing and approving disclosure documents including PDS, Annual Statements and Annual Reports
- Providing compliance advice to marketing and communications teams on campaigns, advertisements and digital content
- Monitoring regulatory developments and implementing updates across disclosure and marketing frameworks
- Maintaining compliance registers, version control systems and approval tracking
- Supporting internal and external audits related to disclosure and marketing compliance
- Contributing to compliance training for marketing personnel
- Significant experience in compliance, legal or a related discipline within financial services
- Superannuation background strongly preferred given the specificity of disclosure and regulatory requirements in the sector
- Experience reviewing and approving marketing and disclosure materials directed at members or potential members
- Strong understanding of Australian superannuation legislation, prudential standards and regulatory expectations
- Tertiary qualifications in Law, Finance, Business or a related discipline
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence at senior levels
Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne. Genuinely flexible with no preference across locations. Hybrid working arrangements apply.
