They are seeking a commercially minded Senior Accountant to step into a true finance business partnering role, working closely with operational leaders and providing insight that influences key decisions and drives performance.
This is a 6 month Fixed Term Contract with view to go permanent for the right person, and suits someone who can start immediately or at very short notice.
The Role
Reporting into senior finance leadership, you will play a critical role in connecting finance with the broader business.
You’ll work closely with stakeholders across operations, offering meaningful financial insight, analysis, and support in a highly collaborative environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Act as a trusted finance partner to operational leaders, providing analysis, insight, and decision support
- Support month‑end close, including P&L preparation, balance sheet reconciliations, and intercompany accounting
- Deliver accurate and timely financial reporting to support business performance and strategic initiatives
- Prepare cash flow forecasts and assist with cash management activities
- Maintain the fixed asset register, including depreciation and asset lifecycle management
- Ensure compliance with relevant tax obligations, including indirect tax reporting (e.g. BAS)
- Collaborate cross‑functionally on payroll reporting and data integrity
- Support payment processes and maintain accuracy across financial systems
- Assist with internal and external audits, alongside ad‑hoc analysis and reporting
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and ongoing performance tracking
- CA or CPA qualified (or working towards)
- Experience in a Senior Accountant or similar role within a fast‑paced, commercial environment, ideally across Financial and Management Accounting
- Strong finance business partnering skills with the ability to engage and influence non‑finance stakeholders
- Commercial mindset with a proven ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Strong Excel capability and exposure to ERP systems
- Proactive, adaptable and detail‑oriented
- Immediate start with strong potential to transition to permanent
