Ozcare is now seeking an experienced Finance Manager - Community Care to play a pivotal role in the financial stewardship, reporting and governance of its Community Care services. Based at Ozcare’s Kangaroo Point head office, this is an opportunity to combine technical accounting expertise with meaningful, purpose‑driven work.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will lead the financial management and reporting for the Community Care portfolio, supporting senior leadership with accurate insights, strong controls and continuous improvement initiatives.
You will oversee month‑end processes, regulatory reporting, audits and funding acquittals, while partnering closely with operational stakeholders to ensure financial integrity and value‑add outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Community Care month-end, balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting
- Prepare and submit QFRs, ACFRs and other funding/regulatory returns
- Ensure accurate revenue recognition of government funding and subsidies
- Oversee billing, acquittals and subsidy reconciliations
- Manage and develop a high‑performing Community Care finance team
- Support internal and external audits and strengthen financial controls
- Drive process improvements, automation and system integration initiatives
- Act as the Finance representative on Community Care projects and initiatives
- CA or CPA qualified with tertiary accounting qualifications
- Experience in finance leadership roles, ideally within community services, aged care or the not‑for‑profit sector
- Exposure to government‑funded or client‑fee revenue streams such as CHSP, NDIS, Dementia Respite, QCSS, DVA, school‑based programs and/or client service fees
- Sound understanding of revenue recognition, compliance and reporting, with strong analytical capability
- Confident communicator, collaborative by nature and aligned with Ozcare’s values of integrity, empathy and compassion
