Reporting to the Financial Controller and Senior Finance Manager, you'll manage junior team members and have direct exposure to senior Finance leadership, including the CFO.
Key responsibilities:
- Own preparation of annual and half-year statutory accounts, including the consolidation model and cashflow statement
- Lead monthly management accounts and partner with the business to update rolling forecasts, with commentary on variations
- Prepare annual divisional budgets and technical accounting papers
- Manage tax accounting and deferred tax calculations, including first draft of the tax return, plus review of GST, FBT and PAYG
- Own the month-end process, including review of AR, AP, accruals and journals, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Manage AFSL requirements and external/internal audit obligations
- Maintain the general ledger system, including review of inactive accounts and suppliers
- Use data analytics tools such as Power BI to drive more meaningful reporting
- Manage the offshore AP and AR functions and lead junior Corporate Finance team members
- CA qualified, with a Bachelor's degree in business/commerce (finance or accounting major)
- Big 4 Audit or Business Services background, with tax knowledge and data analytics experience viewed favourably
- Experience in Corporate divisions within property or funds management highly regarded
- A can-do attitude, resilience, and the ability to deliver under tight deadlines
- Proven ability to manage teams both onshore and offshore
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships quickly and effectively.
