An internationally connected business operating within the global trading and commodities sector is seeking a Finance Manager to join its Brisbane-based finance team.
The organisation supports a diverse range of trading and commercial activities across multiple regions and has continued to expand its operations in recent years. As the business evolves, the finance function is focused on strengthening reporting capability, financial systems and internal processes to support the increasing complexity of the group’s activities.
The Role
This role will work closely with the Group Financial Controller and broader finance team to support the continued development of the finance function.
The position combines financial reporting oversight, systems improvement and analytical support, offering the opportunity to contribute to how financial information is produced, interpreted and used across the business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing and improving month-end accounting processes and reconciliations
- Supporting the development of stronger financial reporting frameworks
- Identifying opportunities to better utilise ERP systems and automate processes
- Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and reforecasting activities
- Analysing financial and operational data to support decision-making
- Developing reporting tools and dashboards for leadership
- Collaborating with finance team members across multiple locations
About you
You are a technically strong accounting professional who enjoys working across reporting, systems and financial analysis.
You will bring:
- CA or CPA qualification
- Experience within financial reporting, accounting or finance management roles
- Strong Excel capability and financial systems experience
- Ability to analyse financial data and provide practical insights
- Experience working within evolving or fast-paced business environments
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
