As the business continues to grow, they're after a hands-on Finance Manager to own the finance function and partner closely with the Director on operations and commercial strategy. It's a varied role, touching construction, property and development, with real room to grow into the position over time.
Key Responsibilities
Finance & Compliance
- End-to-end management of accounts across multiple entities
- Monthly management reporting and financial analysis
- QBCC compliance, including project trust accounting
- BAS, payroll tax, PAYG, WorkCover, land tax and statutory reporting
- Payroll and superannuation
- Insurances, bank guarantees and financing requirements
- Budgets, performance tracking and year-end processes
- Ownership of WIP reporting, cost-to-complete and margin analysis
- Cashflow forecasting and working capital management
- Monthly project performance reviews with operational teams
- Oversight of progress claims, creditors and month-end close
- Financial management of investment properties
- Lease administration including rent reviews and renewals
- Supporting the Director with commercial decisions and feasibility analysis
- CA/CPA qualified with strong construction finance experience
- Solid understanding of WIP, cost-to-complete and project cashflow
- Experience with CHEOPS or JOBPAC well regarded
- Hands-on, detail-oriented and commercially minded
- Comfortable working directly with business owners and operating autonomously
