As our Financial Accountant, you'll manage key financial accounting processes:
- Monthly Close Execution- Drive month-end activities with primary ownership of balance sheet account reconciliations and reporting accuracy
- Internal Business Partnering- Collaborate closely with project teams to provide financial insights and support operational decision-making
- Cost Allocation Management- Oversee overhead cost distribution across projects and business units, ensuring accurate profitability tracking
- Tax Compliance Support- Provide assistance to the Senior Financial Controller on tax-related matters and compliance activities
- Year-End Processes- Contribute to annual financial close procedures, audit preparation, and statutory reporting requirements
- Finance Transformation- Identify and implement improvements to existing finance workflows and system processes
- Offshore Team Coordination- Manage and coordinate work with offshore accounting resources to ensure timely completion of various accounting functions
- Statutory Reporting- Prepare periodic compliance reports and submissions as required by regulatory authorities
- General Accounting Duties- Support the finance team with additional tasks and special projects as needed
- CA/CPA qualified
- 3-5 years' experience in financial accounting roles
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of Australian Accounting Standards
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting systems
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Strong communication skills to work with non-finance stakeholders
- Construction industry experience highly desirable
- Experience with job costing and project accounting advantageous
