We are currently partnering with a large global organisation seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join their finance team on a 12-month fixed term contract. This role offers the opportunity to work within a well-established finance function supporting a large and complex business environment. This role has the potential to extend.
The Role
In this 12-month contract, you will be reporting to senior finance leadership, this role will support core financial accounting and reporting activities while ensuring compliance with internal policies and external reporting requirements.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Preparation of financial reports and supporting schedules
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis, including fixed assets accounting
- Assist with statutory reporting requirements including BAS
- Support internal and external audit processes
- Assist with process improvements and financial controls
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across the business
About You
Skills and Experience:
- CA/CPA qualified or working towards completion
- Demonstrated experience in a financial accounting or reporting role, including fixed assets management
- Strong understanding of accounting standards and financial controls
- High attention to detail with strong analytical skills
- Ability to work effectively within a large, fast-paced organisation
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
