Our client is a well-established, high-performing Manufacturing / FMCG business with a national footprint, seeking a capable Financial Accountant to join their finance team.
This role offers the opportunity to step into a stable, well-structured environment and add immediate value across core accounting deliverables. Reporting to a senior finance leader, this is a hands-on position suited to someone who is technically strong, comfortable with pace, and able to quickly pick up existing processes and systems.
Responsibilities
- Month-end close, journals and accruals (including payroll journals)
- Balance sheet ownership and timely reconciliations
- Bank, credit card and intercompany reconciliations
- Fixed asset register maintenance
- Sales and inventory reconciliations and variance analysis
- Preparation and lodgement of BAS; assistance with FBT
- Supporting the annual audit and statutory reporting requirements
- Driving process improvements to reduce manual intervention
- Ad-hoc reporting and finance projects as required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent
- CA / CPA qualification preferred
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in financial accounting roles, ideally within Manufacturing or FMCG
- Strong Excel capability and sound systems experience
- High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Confident communicator who can work autonomously and collaboratively
- Flexible working hours within core business needs
