The Role
Working closely with the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in managing capital expenditure and fixed asset accounting, while supporting broader financial control and reporting activities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ownership of capital expenditure accounting, including construction in progress
- Maintenance of the fixed asset register and depreciation processes
- Capex budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning in partnership with operational teams
- Management of IFRS 16 lease accounting, including modelling new leases
- Oversight of balance sheet reconciliations across fixed asset accounts
- Supporting audit processes and ensuring compliance with accounting standards
- Continuous improvement of financial processes, controls and systems
- Involvement in projects and system enhancements
About You
- CA/CPA (or equivalent) qualified or working towards
- Proven experience in financial accounting, fixed assets or project accounting
- Strong understanding of IFRS (including IFRS 16) and capitalisation principles
- Advanced Excel skills, with exposure to ERP systems (SUN advantageous)
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to work cross-functionally
