  • The Organisation

    We are currently partnering with a respected not-for-profit organisation to recruit an experienced Financial Accountant for an initial 3-month contract, with strong potential for extension.

    This is a hands-on opportunity supporting the finance team through a busy reporting and audit period while also contributing to several process improvement initiatives. Reporting directly into senior finance leadership, you’ll play a key role in strengthening reporting processes, supporting compliance obligations, and improving operational efficiencies across the function.


    The Role 

    Key Responsibilities
    • Coordinate and assist with end-of-month reporting activities across multiple reporting periods
    • Review, map, and enhance existing finance procedures to create more efficient and scalable processes
    • Support preparations for upcoming interim audit requirements, including reconciliations and audit schedules
    • Assist with preparation of statutory reporting requirements, including BAS and supporting financial statements
    • Produce and refine management reporting packs to provide meaningful insights to operational stakeholders
    • Partner with the CFO on grant reporting, funding reconciliations, and acquittal requirements
    • Review balance sheet reconciliations and strengthen internal controls, particularly across recently transitioned expense and card payment processes
    • Identify inefficiencies within finance operations and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the function


    About You
    • CA/CPA qualified or nearing completion
    • Proven experience in financial accounting and month-end reporting
    • Prior exposure to audit preparation and compliance reporting
    • Strong reconciliation and process improvement capability
    • Able to work independently while partnering effectively with stakeholders across the organisation
    • Experience within not-for-profit, complex environments will be highly regarded
