The Opportunity
A Financial Accountant is sought for a 12 month fixed-term contract based in the Sydney CBD. Reporting into the finance team, this role covers core financial reporting, reconciliations and general ledger work, with exposure to audit, compliance and finance transformation projects. It's a great opportunity for someone looking to build their technical accounting experience within a commercially focused business.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting
- Deliver accurate reconciliations, journals and variance analysis
- Own general ledger journals and support process improvement initiatives
- Support external audits and compliance requirements
- Assist with finance transformation projects and system improvements
- Partner with the broader business on reporting and commercial insights
- Use tools such as AI and automation to support reporting efficiency where relevant
- CA/CPA qualified or currently completing
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, AASB experience preferred
- Advanced Excel skills and ERP exposure
- Strong communication skills and a proactive, adaptable mindset
