An ASX listed organisation is seeking a Financial Accountant to join its Brisbane based finance team.

This role offers broad exposure across financial reporting, operational support and business partnering, making it an excellent opportunity for an accountant looking to further develop within a commercial environment.
The Role
Reporting into a senior member of the finance team, this role offers a broad mix of financial accounting, reporting and operational support responsibilities.
You'll take ownership of core month end activities while partnering with stakeholders across the business to ensure financial information is accurate, meaningful and delivered on time. The position offers excellent mentoring and development, making it ideal for someone looking to continue building their commercial accounting career.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing month end journals, accruals and prepayments
- Managing reporting for shared service functions and monitoring cost allocations
- Completing balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining reporting integrity
- Supporting half year and year end reporting activities
- Assisting with statutory reporting and compliance requirements
- Partnering with operational stakeholders to provide financial support and resolve queries
- Supporting process improvements and finance initiatives across the team
- Providing transactional support where required during the onboarding period
About you
You're an accountant with a positive attitude and a genuine desire to continue learning. You enjoy taking ownership of your work, building relationships across the business and contributing wherever needed.
Whether you're making your first move from Audit or Business Services, or you've already gained commercial accounting experience, you'll thrive in an environment that values initiative, curiosity and continuous development.
You will bring:
- CA or CPA qualification (or close to completion)
- Around 3–5 years' accounting experience
- Experience within a commercial finance role or first mover from Audit or Business Services
- Exposure to multi-entity and/or multi-cost centre environments
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with accounting systems
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
