Leading global legal firm on the lookout for an experienced Financial Analyst to join the business on an initial 12 month contract basis.
Reporting into the team leader of FP&A, you will provide the Regional Managing Partners and the partnership with insightful decision support analytics to enhance effectiveness and profitability of the supported practice groups.
You will report on business plans, results achieved and whether key metrics are being met. You will assist with communication of results within the practice group to the broader firm.
You will identify business trends including assisting in the preparation of business cases for partner candidates and utilisation to match forecast needs. You will also provide financial advice regarding productivity and efficiency opportunities to enable the practice group to undertake profit improvement opportunities.
In addition you will identify opportunities to design, develop and
leverage Power BI reporting to support multiple priorities across the
region. These will include supporting the delivery of Business
Development Power BI Dashboards, as well as leveraging different
ideas as the business transitions to Power BI reporting.
Finally you will review operating results and complete variance analysis. You will also complete budgeting and planning activities for the regional practice group, including updated forecasts during the year. You will also assist with preparation of financials to support business cases for secondments and promotions, as well as other functionally led processes such as the annual pricing review and remuneration reviews.
To be considered for this role you will be CA/CPA qualified and have a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar Analytical or business partnering role. You will have previous experience working with a Senior Executive team and identifying profit drivers and improvement opportunities through the analysis of P&L. You will have sound financial modelling skills.
