The Role
An opportunity exists for an experienced Financial Controller to join on a temporary 3-month contract, providing hands-on leadership and financial oversight during a period of transition.
This role will suit a confident and adaptable finance professional who can quickly embed themselves, provide clear financial insight, strengthen controls, and partner effectively with senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and oversee general-purpose financial statements, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with relevant standards
- Lead the year-end financial close process across multiple entities, coordinating timelines and deliverables
- Manage the relationship with external auditors, acting as the primary point of contact and ensuring a smooth and efficient audit process
- Coordinate annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes, including analysis of variances between actual results and forecasts
- Establish, maintain, and enforce internal control frameworks to safeguard organisational assets and ensure data integrity
- Oversee treasury and cash flow management, including monitoring liquidity, forecasting cash requirements, and supporting operational needs
- Ensure tax compliance obligations are met and aligned with regulatory and governance requirements
- Qualification in Accounting, Business, or a related discipline, with CPA or CA membership
- Minimum five years experience in senior accounting or financial leadership roles
- Strong technical capability across financial reporting, compliance, budgeting, and forecasting
- Proven experience implementing internal controls and managing audit processes
- Advanced proficiency with financial systems, including ERP platforms and business intelligence tools
- Confident communicator with the ability to engage and influence internal and external stakeholders
