We are partnering with a well-established, privately owned organisation to recruit a hands-on Financial Controller for their finance team based in Darra. This is a key role supporting an experienced CFO and offers the opportunity to take ownership of the day-to-day finance function while contributing to ongoing business improvement.
This position will suit a proactive and commercially minded finance professional who enjoys operating in a hands-on environment and partnering closely with leadership.
The Role
This 3-month contract will be suitable for an immediately available or soon to be immediately available Financial Controller, who will report directly to the CFO. This role has the potential to be extended.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations and manage the general ledger
- Prepare timely and accurate monthly management reports
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Monitor financial performance against budget and forecast, investigating variances and working with stakeholders to ensure alignment and accountability
- Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements
- Lead the year-end process and coordinate with external auditors
- Review and improve financial processes, controls, and reporting
- Partner with operational stakeholders to support decision-making
- Support and deputise for the CFO as required
About You
Skills and Experience:
- CA / CPA qualified
- Proven experience as a CFO, Financial Controller or Finance Manager ready to step up.
- Strong technical accounting and reporting capability
- Hands-on approach with strong attention to detail
- Strong Excel and systems skills
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships across the business
