Working within a small, high-performing finance team, the role is both hands-on and commercially focused, with broad responsibility across the group’s finance function. You will partner closely with the CFO, CEO and operating divisions, providing strong financial oversight while supporting strategic and commercial decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the day-to-day financial management of the group
- Oversee general accounting, month-end and financial reporting
- Manage treasury, cash flow and working capital
- Oversee tax obligations, including PAYG and trust-related requirements
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis
- Provide insightful reporting and commentary to the CFO and CEO
- Identify financial risks, trends and opportunities across the business
- Support transactions and other commercial initiatives
- Partner with operating divisions to improve financial performance and processes
- Assist the CEO and CFO with strategic planning and commercial decision-making
- Drive solutions and improvements within a fast-paced, evolving environment
About You
- CA/CPA qualified finance professional
- Strong recent experience in a broad, hands-on Financial Controller or Finance Manager role
- Alternatively, Manager-level business services/audit experience with strong commercial exposure
- Comfortable operating within an SME, scale-up or similarly fast-paced environment
- Commercially minded, analytical and confident working with technology and systems
- Proactive and solutions-focused, with the ability to quickly understand a business and add value
- Available to commence at short notice for a temporary assignment
