This organisation is a large, nationally recognised business operating across a complex and fast-paced environment. With significant operations across Australia, they are known for their strong market presence, operational scale, and ongoing investment in systems, process improvement, and commercial performance.
An opportunity now exists for an experienced FP&A professional to join the business in a key leadership role within the finance team.
This is role is starting as a seven month contract.
The Role
Reporting into senior finance leadership, this position will play a critical role in driving financial performance, delivering commercial insights, and supporting strategic decision making across the business.
Key responsibilities include:
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities across multiple operational areas
• Deliver insightful monthly reporting, analysis, and commentary to senior stakeholders
• Provide commercial support around operational performance, cost management, and working capital initiatives
• Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic planning and business performance
• Partner closely with operational leaders to identify risks, opportunities, and improvement initiatives
• Support executive-level reporting and broader business planning cycles
• Drive continuous improvement across reporting processes, systems, and financial controls
• Contribute to ongoing finance transformation and systems enhancement initiatives
• Lead and mentor a small finance team
About You
You are a commercially minded CA/CPA qualified finance professional with experience operating within large, complex organisations.
You enjoy working closely with stakeholders across the business and are confident translating financial information into meaningful commercial insights.
In addition, you will bring:
• Previous experience across FP&A, management reporting, or commercial finance environments
• Strong financial modelling, forecasting, and analytical capability
• Advanced Excel skills and exposure to large ERP systems
• The ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced and evolving environment
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience within industrial, manufacturing, infrastructure, resources, or similarly operational sectors will be highly regarded
