  • Well regarded hotel group on the lookout for an experienced Senior Group Accountant to join a high-performing finance team on an initial 6-12 month contract.

    This role will support the delivery of accurate financial reporting, tax compliance and financial governance across a multi-entity environment.
    Working closely with senior finance leaders, the role will contribute to month-end and year-end reporting, tax obligations, and broader finance initiatives while providing oversight and guidance to junior accounting staff.

    Key Responsibilities"

    Financial Reporting
    • Support the preparation of half-year and year-end financial statements across multiple entities.
    • Manage accounting for acquisitions and divestments, including relevant journals and adjustments.
    • Assist with impairment assessments and Net Asset Value calculations.
    • Respond to external audit queries and support the audit process.
    • Review balance sheet reconciliations and month-end journals prepared by junior team members.
    Tax & Compliance
    • Prepare monthly tax provisions and deferred tax calculations.
    • Manage indirect tax obligations including Business Activity Statements.
    • Support income tax, payroll tax and Fringe Benefits Tax compliance.
    • Work with external advisors on tax reporting and annual returns.
    Consolidation & Intercompany
    • Oversee intercompany reconciliations and elimination entries.
    • Manage related party transactions and internal recharges across entities.
    Treasury & Financial Controls
    • Assist with cash flow monitoring and finance cost forecasting.
    • Support loan facility compliance and banking requirements.
    • Contribute to financial reporting and compliance obligations across the group.
    Additional Responsibilities
    • Support lease accounting and financial reporting requirements.
    • Assist with regulatory and statutory reporting where required.
    • Contribute to process improvements and ad hoc finance projects.
    About You
    • CA or CPA qualified.
    • 7+ years’ experience in financial or group accounting.
    • Strong technical accounting and financial reporting skills.
    • Previous Audit experience highly regarded.
    • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
    • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders.
    • Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems (e.g. D365 or similar) desirable.
