You will have full accountability for corporate accounting and consolidation across a multi-brand, multi-jurisdiction portfolio.
The portfolio comprises three distinct groups with a combined value exceeding $1 billion across multiple entities, each with its own consolidation requirements feeding into a group-level consolidation.
This is not a review-and-sign-off role, you will be deeply hands-on with the numbers.
- Full consolidation across separate entity groups and group HO consolidation — including PPA entries, goodwill, impairment testing and FX translations
- Technical IFRS compliance, with particular depth in IFRS 15 and IFRS 16 accounting
- Statutory accounts
- Month-end and year-end close, balance sheet reconciliations and intercompany account management
- Tax compliance and planning across all Pacific entities (ATO, ASIC, GST, indirect taxes)
- Relationships with external auditors across both statutory and consolidated accounts
- Leadership of a direct team of three, plus dotted-line oversight of an off-shore Shared Services Centre
You are a CPA/CA qualified finance professional with at least 15 years' experience, and you've built your career in environments where complexity is the norm. You know how to ask the right questions, navigate ambiguity, and get things done through people.
You will need to demonstrate:
- Deep, hands-on experience with complex multi-entity group consolidations in a multinational business
- Strong technical IFRS knowledge, particularly IFRS 15 and 16
- Experience working in businesses where statutory accounts differ from consolidated accounts
- Proven ability to manage and drive accountability from an offshore shared services team
- The commercial acumen to work cross-functionally with executive leadership and external stakeholders
- Strong people skills
