Job Description:

  • Join a multi-site hospo group. Lead a team of 3, report to CFO as part of SLT
  • $160,000-$180,000 + Super, hybrid working, and a business ready to back you
  • Own recruitment and workforce planning across a high-volume, fast-paced
  • People & Culture Manager
    Marrickville Sydney
    $160,000 - $180,000 + Super
    Hybrid WFH

Join a well-established, multi-site hospitality and leisure business. People is a core pillar of the board-backed strategy, and they're looking for someone with the talent and passion to actually build on the current function. A genuine build role.

Right now the HR "cabinet" is bare. Policy, process and hygiene need real work, and the Group is mid-rollout of a new HR platform, this will help with performance management conversations, new ways of working with leaders and staff, and a real chance to shape how the whole system beds in.

Reporting to the CFO and sitting on the SLT, you'll lead a team of 3 with real scope to shape how the function operates.

    You'll:
    • Lift culture and communication across the Group, closing the loop between what leadership wants to achieve and what actually reaches the floor
    • Build leadership capability so venue managers can own performance, conduct and attendance conversations properly
    • Bring genuine ER expertise, most matters are handled internally (there's currently a strong Risk & Compliance function)
    • Be genuinely fluent in enterprise agreements
    Who we're looking for:
Hospitality, clubs, retail or another high-volume, high-turnover, multi-site environment background, this is not a corporate HR seat, and someone who's operated in a fast-paced, frontline-heavy environment is a must. You're commercially minded, comfortable being hands-on as much as strategic, and you don't shy away from the harder conversations, with the credibility to lift standards while still building trust.
    You'll bring:
    • Solid experience in a senior HR/People & Culture role within a multi-site, operational business
    • Own recruitment and workforce planning across a fast-paced, high-volume environment
    • Strong working knowledge of the Fair Work Act, NES, enterprise agreements and related employment obligations
    • A track record of leading a genuine HR uplift, not just running BAU
    • Experience leading HRIS or workflow automation projects
    • Confidence leading and developing a small team, and influencing operational leaders

If you love the idea of walking into a business that's ready to invest and building a function from the ground up, this is it!
