We are currently partnering with a large, nationally recognised organisation operating within a complex, highly regulated environment to appoint an experienced HR Manager on an initial 3-month contract.
With a workforce of 400 employees and operations spanning multiple locations across Australia, this organisation plays a critical role in supporting essential infrastructure operations. The business is currently undergoing a period of transformation within its People & Culture function, with a strong focus on uplifting capability, strengthening governance and embedding best-practice HR frameworks.
The Opportunity
Reporting into a senior HR leader, this is a hands-on role suited to a commercially minded HR Manager who thrives in dynamic, operational environments.
You will be responsible for driving consistency and structure across core HR processes while supporting a range of people initiatives during a period of change.
A key focus of the role will be across Industrial Relations, working within a unionised workforce and navigating a complex EBA landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, refine and re-establish core HR processes, policies and frameworks
- Provide end-to-end HR support across a geographically dispersed workforce
- Partner with leaders to deliver practical, commercially sound HR advice
- Manage and support a range of IR matters, including EBA interpretation and application
- Contribute to broader HR transformation and uplift initiatives
- Support and mentor a junior HR resource (HR Advisor)
- Proven experience in a HR Manager or Senior HR Business Partner capacity
- Strong Industrial Relations capability, with experience in EBA environments
- Comfortable operating in complex, operational and/or blue-collar environments
- Hands-on, pragmatic and solutions-focused approach
- Ability to bring structure, consistency and clarity in evolving environments
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
