This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has worked within inventory, stock control, purchasing or operations environments and is looking to join a stable business where they can take ownership of processes and hit the ground running.
This is an initial 3 month temporary contract with potential for permanency for the right person. Availability to start immediately or at short notice is highly regarded.
The Role
Working closely with operations and internal stakeholders, you'll be responsible for ensuring inventory and purchasing transactions are processed accurately and that the ERP system reflects the reality of what's happening across the business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Processing purchase orders and inventory transactions
- Creating and managing work orders within the ERP system
- Monitoring open orders and inventory reports
- Maintaining inventory master data and system integrity
- Assisting with demand planning and forecasting activities
- Supporting stock takes and inventory reconciliations
- Investigating discrepancies and ensuring inventory accuracy
- Working across departments to ensure processes are followed and data remains accurate
- Previous experience in inventory, purchasing, operations support, supply chain or finance-related inventory roles
- An understanding of how inventory transactions impact stock accuracy, reporting and overall business performance
- Experience working within an ERP environment
- Exposure to stock control, purchasing, inventory reconciliations or order management processes
- Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- A proactive, problem-solving approach with the confidence to investigate discrepancies and identify practical solutions
- A proactive mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities
