Job Description:

  • Strong financial modelling, M&A and project finance focus
  • Global platform with direct access to senior investment leaders
  • Competitive rem, flexibility, and top working culture
  • A well-capitalised renewable energy group is seeking an Investment Associate to join its investment team. Backed by a global platform, the business originates, acquires, finances and operates large-scale renewable assets across the globe.

This role offers end-to-end exposure across development, M&A and project finance within a lean, high-performing investment environment.

This is a standout role for an ambitious analyst looking to move closer to principal investing in the energy transition.

You will work directly with senior investment professionals on live transactions, taking ownership of financial modelling, investment analysis and due diligence, with continued involvement post-investment across financing, asset performance and value creation.

International exposure is genuine, with collaboration across regions and the opportunity to support offshore transactions.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Build and own complex financial models to evaluate renewable energy investments
    • Support deal underwriting through commercial and financial analysis
    • Execute detailed due diligence alongside technical, legal and commercial advisers
    • Assist with project finance processes, including lender engagement and debt structuring
    • Support asset management and ongoing investment performance
    • Mentor junior analysts and interns
    About You
    • ~3–5 years’ experience in:
    • Investment banking (energy, infrastructure, M&A, project finance)
    • Big 4 or top-tier consulting (corporate finance, infrastructure, valuation)
    • Infrastructure or renewable energy investing
    • Strong academic background from a leading university
    • Advanced financial modelling skills and sound investment judgement
    • Commercial mindset, strong communication skills, and genuine interest in renewables
    Why This Role
    • Principal-side investing exposure
    • Direct access to senior decision-makers
    • Strong deal flow across renewable and energy transition assets
    • Global exposure
    • Competitive base salary plus discretionary bonus
This role suits someone seeking real responsibility, steep learning and long-term career progression within a leading renewables platform.
