About the Role
Our long-standing client is seeking an experienced Investment Operations Senior Associate to join their Brisbane CBD team. This role sits within a specialised investment operations function supporting a diverse range of investment strategies, with a particular focus on equities and fixed income markets.
Working closely with internal stakeholders, custodians and external service providers, you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely execution of operational activities, maintaining robust controls and delivering exceptional service standards. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced investment operations professional looking to take on broader responsibilities and act as a senior member of a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities include:
• Support the accurate execution of investment operations activities across equities and fixed income portfolios
• Manage post-trade processes including settlements, trade processing and exception management
• Perform cash, holdings and position reconciliations, investigating and resolving breaks in a timely manner
• Support unit pricing oversight and daily operational control processes
• Monitor and manage cash movements, liquidity requirements and payment approvals
• Coordinate corporate actions, income events and related investment administration activities
• Liaise with custodians, brokers, administrators and other counterparties to resolve operational matters
• Contribute to regulatory, client and management reporting requirements
• Ensure adherence to governance frameworks, compliance obligations and internal controls
• Identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency and reduce operational risk
About You
• 3+ years' experience within investment operations, middle office, custody, stockbroking, fund administration or funds management
• Strong knowledge of equities and fixed income operational processes
• Experience across reconciliations, settlements, corporate actions, cash management and investment administration activities
• Exposure to unit pricing, operational controls and regulatory reporting environments will be highly regarded
• Experience reviewing work, approving transactions or providing operational oversight is advantageous
• Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large, complex datasets in a high-volume environment
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
