The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the leadership team, you will support the finance function while contributing to wider business improvement initiatives.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations
- Assisting with month-end close activities and management reporting
- Supporting BAS preparation and compliance requirements
- Maintaining accurate financial records and liaising with external accountants
- Managing and improving Xero workflows, invoice processing, and expense management processes
- Assisting with cash flow reporting and financial analysis
- Identifying and implementing process improvements across finance operations
- Supporting business reporting, special projects, and ad hoc analysis
- Providing broader operational and administrative support as required
We're seeking someone who is naturally curious, proactive, and eager to build a long-term career in accounting and finance.
You may be a recent accounting graduate or an early-career accountant wanting broader exposure beyond traditional transactional accounting.
Ideally, you will possess:
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- 1-3 years' experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or finance support
- Exposure to Xero or a similar accounting system
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities
- Confidence using technology and identifying process improvements
- A positive, hands-on attitude and willingness to learn
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships across the business
