Job Description:

  • In-house legal counsel reporting directly to the CEO
  • Qualified lawyers and experienced paralegals welcome
  • HPA and contract management for a growing lifestyle communities business
  • Junior Legal Counsel | Liven Communities | Brisbane CBD

    About Liven Communities
Perigon Group are proud to be partnered with Liven Communities, a business that owns and operates luxury resort-style communities designed for Australians aged 50 and over.

With 5 sites across Queensland the business is growing rapidly. The team is small, collaborative and energetic, and the culture reflects that. This is a business that genuinely cares about the communities it builds and the people who work within it.

    About the Role
This is a newly created Junior Legal Counsel position reporting directly to the CEO. As the business scales, the need for dedicated in-house legal support has grown and this role has been created to bring that capability in-house and reduce reliance on external firms.

You will be the primary legal support across the business, handling a broad range of matters across contract management, compliance, regulatory monitoring and stakeholder liaison. The role offers significant exposure across the entire business including sales, investment, finance and operations, and suits someone who thrives with autonomy and enjoys being close to the action.

    What the Role Involves
    • Drafting, reviewing and managing Home Purchase Agreements and other contracts, working from precedents and ensuring accuracy at the first draft stage
    • Staying across legislative changes relevant to the Lifestyle and Land Lease Communities sector and advising the business accordingly
    • Handling queries from purchasers and their lawyers with confidence and professionalism
    • Supporting corporate governance and general compliance matters across the group
    • Working closely with the CEO and leadership team on day-to-day legal matters
    About You
    • Qualified lawyer or experienced paralegal with 5+ years in a property or legal support capacity
    • Strong legal drafting skills and a high level of attention to detail
    • Confident handling conversations with lawyers and senior stakeholders independently
    • Personable, clear communicator who can work autonomously in a lean environment
    • Experience in Lifestyle and Land Lease Communities (LLC) is a significant advantage
    • Familiarity with HubSpot is a bonus but not essential
This role is being recruited exclusively by Perigon Group.
