We're looking for an enthusiastic, polished and professional Legal Assistant to join a leading international law firm's Melbourne office, supporting a Partner and senior members of a high-performing practice group.

Role:
- Manage complex diaries, inboxes, workflows and competing priorities. You’ll need to schedule and coordinate meetings and proactively managing changes.
- Organise domestic and international travel and reconcile expenses promptly.
- Draft, format and manage legal documents and correspondence to a high standard using Microsoft Office and document/matter management systems (e.g. iManage).
- Open, maintain and close matters, ensuring accurate time entries and billing; manage billing processes including pre-bills, edits, finalisation and cost reporting.
- Act as a key point of contact for client queries, internal stakeholders and external parties, supporting strong client relationships.
- Coordinate internal and client meetings, calls, events and travel arrangements; assist with business development initiatives and client events.
- Maintain compliance with firm policies, including file management and risk protocols.
What you'll bring
- Demonstrated experience as a Legal Assistant or senior legal support professional within a legal or professional services environment OR A strong Executive Assistant will be considered as well
- Experience with billing, invoicing, reporting and matter management systems.
- Strong time management and the ability to juggle competing priorities and tight deadlines.
- A positive, proactive, calm-under-pressure approach with excellent judgment and discretion.
- Curious about AI and emerging technologies.
