A large, well-established organisation is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join their finance team on an initial interim contract.

The Role
Reporting to a Senior Management Accountant, this role provides management accounting support across a defined client portfolio and plays a key role in delivering timely financial advice, analysis, and insights.
You will work closely with operational leaders to support budgeting, forecasting, cost modelling, financial reporting, and business case development, while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the finance function.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys partnering with stakeholders, improving financial processes, and supporting sound decision-making in a complex environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the Senior Management Accountant to deliver high-quality financial management advice across a client portfolio
- Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, cost modelling, and ongoing financial monitoring and reporting
- Partnering with business leaders to manage budgets, establish financial controls, and embed strong financial governance and risk management practices
- Assisting with the preparation of business cases to support strategic and operational decision-making
- Providing advice and guidance on financial matters to a range of stakeholders
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance finance capability, processes, and service delivery
- Supporting compliance with organisational policies, procedures, and safe work practices
You are a proactive and analytical finance professional who enjoys working closely with stakeholders and translating financial information into meaningful insights.
You bring a strong foundation in management accounting, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to work effectively in a complex and fast-paced environment.
- Qualifications in finance, accounting, or a related discipline, or significant equivalent experience
- CPA or CA qualification (or progress towards)
- Demonstrated experience in management accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Strong understanding of financial governance principles and risk management
- High-level digital literacy, including advanced Excel skills and experience with large financial systems (e.g. Oracle or similar)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships with diverse stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving ability and a continuous improvement mindset
