An established and diversified Australian business is seeking a Management Accountant to join its high-performing finance team.

The Role
Reporting into the Finance leadership team, you'll play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, commercial analysis and business insights that support operational performance.
This is a broad role that combines management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and business partnering, providing exposure across multiple areas of the business while supporting strategic decision-making.
Key responsibilities include:
- Prepare monthly management reports, financial analysis and performance commentary
- Review month-end journals, balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting
- Analyse variances against budgets and forecasts, identifying trends and key business drivers
- Support budgeting and forecasting across multiple business units
- Monitor project performance, WIP reporting and financial outcomes
- Assist with year-end reporting, audit requirements and statutory compliance
- Partner with operational stakeholders to provide commercial insights and financial support
- Contribute to process improvements and reporting enhancements
About you
You are a commercially minded accountant who enjoys analysing financial performance and partnering with stakeholders to improve business outcomes.
You'll bring:
- CA or CPA qualification
- Previous experience as a Management Accountant or Financial Accountant
- Strong month-end reporting and management reporting experience
- Budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis capability
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to problem solving
- Experience within project-based, construction or infrastructure environments will be highly regarded
