Job Description:

  • Join a high-growth digital bank with direct exposure to senior leadership.
  • Shape lending quality, credit policy and risk across the business.
  • Genuine opportunity to influence, grow and progress your career.
  • Join one of Australia's fastest-growing digital banks at an exciting stage of growth.

As lending volumes continue to increase, we're looking for an experienced credit professional to help ensure lending quality remains high while supporting the continued evolution of the bank's credit framework.

Working closely with senior leadership, you'll independently review lending decisions, sample approved loans, identify trends and emerging risks, and provide practical recommendations to improve lending quality, policy and customer outcomes. You'll also work closely with Lending, and the broader Risk and Compliance team to ensure lending practices remain robust, responsible and fit for a rapidly growing business.

This is a hands-on role where you'll draw on your own lending experience to answer questions such as:
    • Was this the right lending decision?
    • Has policy been interpreted appropriately?
    • Are there common themes emerging across approvals?
    • What can be improved through policy, process or training?
    • Are there risks that could create issues later in the customer lifecycle or recovery process?
Rather than focusing on modelling or portfolio analytics, this role is ideal for someone with strong credit assessment and decisioning experience who enjoys improving the way lending operates.

Whether your background is in credit assessment, quality assurance, credit policy or second-line credit risk, you'll have the opportunity to influence how lending decisions are made across the business.

In return, you'll join a modern, high-growth digital bank with ambitious expansion plans, genuine exposure to executive leadership, and excellent long-term career opportunities as the organisation continues to grow.

    What you'll bring:
    • Strong experience assessing or approving retail or consumer lending applications.
    • A practical understanding of responsible lending and sound credit judgement.
    • Exposure to credit policy, quality assurance, governance or lending oversight is highly regarded.
    • The ability to identify trends, challenge existing practices and recommend practical improvements.
    • Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with stakeholders across Lending, Risk and Compliance.
