We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Operations Team Administrator to support a busy Operations & Engineering function within a leading business in the mining and resources industry. This role suits someone who enjoys variety, works well with multiple stakeholders, and takes pride in delivering polished, reliable administrative support.
This role is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract - maternity leave cover.
About the Role
You will provide day‑to‑day administrative and coordination support across teams including Engineering, Mining, Commercial, Procurement, IT and Health & Safety. The role focuses on keeping operations running smoothly through effective organisation, documentation, communication and workflow support.
Key Responsibilities
Administration & Coordination
- Manage calendars, emails, meetings and team communications
- Prepare documents, agendas and correspondence
- Coordinate domestic and international travel
- Maintain registers, filing systems and shared documents
- Support contract administration and general office duties
- Raise purchase requisitions and receipt goods/services
- Maintain PO tracking and assist with vendor onboarding
- Support contract execution and supplier compliance requirements
- Liaise with Accounts Payable on invoice or receipting queries
- Assist with reporting and data collation
- Support governance and communication routines
- Contribute to WHS practices and a collaborative team culture
- Experience in administrative or office support roles
- Strong organisation, attention to detail and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort learning new systems
- Ability to manage competing priorities and support multiple stakeholders
- Professional, reliable, positive and team‑focused
- Advantageous: business/administration studies or experience in mining, engineering or operations environments
