About the role
This is a key opportunity to lead the delivery of a large-scale People Strategy within a complex environment. Sitting within a collaborative People & Culture team, you will drive organisational development, workforce initiatives and change programs, ensuring strategy is translated into practical, well-sequenced outcomes that enable adoption across a diverse and geographically dispersed workforce.
You will play a critical role in bringing structure, prioritisation and momentum to existing initiatives, partnering closely with stakeholders to deliver meaningful, system-wide improvements.
This role is being offered on an initial 12-month fixed term contract.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the planning and delivery of strategic P&C initiatives, translating people strategy into clear, actionable programs
- Drive organisational change and stakeholder engagement across large-scale initiatives impacting diverse workforce groups
- Review, prioritise and coordinate multiple projects, ensuring strong governance, sequencing and delivery discipline
- Lead organisational development initiatives to enhance employee experience, capability and operating effectiveness
- Oversee key projects including onboarding and employee lifecycle improvements, ensuring consistency and reduced risk
- Support the evolution of the P&C operating model, including business partnering and service delivery approaches
- Identify and implement process improvements, including leveraging technology and AI across the function
- Build change capability within P&C, providing coaching, tools and practical support to leaders
- Deliver reporting, insights and updates to senior stakeholders and leadership forums
- Strong background in organisational development, people strategy and/or transformation
- Proven experience delivering complex change and projects in large, matrixed environments
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence and build trust at all levels
- Ability to bring structure to ambiguity and simplify complex concepts into practical plans
- Strong planning and prioritisation capability, with experience developing clear delivery roadmaps
- Resilient, adaptable and outcomes-focused, with a hands-on approach to delivery
- Experience within education, government, healthcare or similarly complex environments is highly regarded
