The Company
Join a well‑established organisation with a collaborative and hands‑on culture. With a close‑knit team and a strong operational focus, this business values accuracy, accountability, and people who take pride in doing things properly. You’ll be joining an environment where your expertise will be genuinely valued and where you can make a real impact across payroll and finance operations.

Given the size of the organisation, this is a broad role that requires someone comfortable owning payroll end‑to‑end while also contributing across accounts and month‑end processes. You will need to be detail‑oriented, proactive, and confident operating autonomously in a compliance‑driven environment.

- Process STP submissions, PAYG withholding, superannuation payments, WorkCover declarations, and payroll tax lodgements where required
- Maintain accurate employee records, payroll data, leave balances, and confidential information
- Generate payroll reports, journals, costings, and reconcile payroll‑related general ledger accounts
- Support month‑end processes including accruals, journals, and variance analysis
- Assist with accounts payable and receivable tasks and provide general finance support as required
- Respond to payroll and finance enquiries professionally and contribute to continuous improvement of systems and processes
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in payroll and/or finance roles
- Proven hands‑on experience using Micropay (Aurion Micropay / Micropay Meridian)
- Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, STP, PAYG, superannuation, and compliance requirements
- Experience interpreting Awards, NES, and workplace agreements
- Background in finance or accounting administration (AP/AR, reconciliations, journals)
- High attention to detail with strong numerical and analytical skills
- Confident working autonomously and managing competing deadlines
- Clear communicator with a practical, solutions‑focused mindset
