  • The Company

    We are partnering with a well-established ASX listed organisation to recruit an experienced Senior Payroll & Finance Officer for a 6-month contract.

    Reporting to the Finance Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring payroll is delivered accurately and on time while supporting the wider finance team with accounting activities and continuous improvement initiatives.

    This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced payroll professional who enjoys a varied role, thrives in a collaborative environment and is happy to get involved across multiple areas of finance.



    The Role

    Duties include but are not limited to: 
    • Manage end-to-end payroll processing and associated reporting
    • Ensure payroll-related statutory obligations are completed accurately and on time, including superannuation, PAYG and payroll tax
    • Prepare payroll journals and reconciliations
    • Process employee expense claims and respond to payroll-related enquiries
    • Assist with month-end activities, including journals, balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger maintenance
    • Support accounts payable processing, supplier reconciliations and payment runs as required
    • Assist with bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records
    • Provide support with BAS preparation, reporting and other ad hoc finance tasks
    • Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and support finance projects and continuous improvement initiatives

    About You

    Skills and Experience:
    • Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end payroll
    • Previous experience within a finance or accounting team
    • Strong reconciliation and journal preparation skills
    • Intermediate Excel skills and experience using payroll and ERP systems
    • Experience working within an ASX listed or similarly complex organisation
    • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
    • A proactive, collaborative approach with strong communication skills
    • The ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a team environment
