The Role
This role will see you taking ownership of payroll processing while also supporting the broader finance team with reporting, reconciliations and general finance administration.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working autonomously, can hit the ground running, and has strong experience managing payroll in a complex environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- End-to-end payroll processing, including pay runs, leave, terminations and payroll adjustments
- Managing payroll enquiries and providing timely support to employees
- Maintaining accurate payroll records and employee data
- Interpreting awards, enterprise agreements and payroll legislation
- Payroll reconciliations and month-end reporting
- Preparing payroll reports, variance analysis and workforce data
- Ensuring compliance with superannuation, taxation and payroll obligations
- Resolving payroll discrepancies
- Supporting finance projects, process improvements and documentation updates
- Assisting with bank reconciliations and broader finance team activities as required
- Proven experience processing end-to-end payroll
- Understanding of payroll legislation, awards and enterprise agreements
- High attention to detail and ability to work accurately under deadlines
- Confident handling employee payroll queries and stakeholder communication
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Experience with payroll reporting, reconciliations and compliance requirements
- Available to commence at short notice
