Our client is a well-established and growing retail organisation with a strong national presence and a reputation for delivering high-quality products and customer service. With a fast-paced and collaborative culture, they are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join their finance team and support the accurate and timely delivery of payroll across the business.
The Role
In this 3-month contract, you will be responsible for the end-to-end payroll function for a large retail workforce. This role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to manage payroll processes in a high-volume environment.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Processing end-to-end payroll for a multi-site retail workforce
- Reviewing and processing timesheets and resolving discrepancies
- Ensuring compliance with relevant Awards, legislation and company policies
- Managing payroll queries from employees and stakeholders
- Processing new starters, terminations, and payroll adjustments
- Maintaining accurate employee payroll records
- Supporting payroll reporting and reconciliations
- Assisting with continuous improvement of payroll processes and systems
About You
Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience in a Payroll Officer or Payroll Administrator role
- Experience managing end-to-end payroll in a high-volume environment
- Strong understanding of timesheet processing and payroll compliance
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with internal stakeholders
- Experience with payroll systems and intermediate Excel skills preferred
