  • About the Opportunity
    A well-known consumer-facing business is looking for an experienced payroll professional to take ownership of end-to-end payroll across Australia and New Zealand. This is a purely payroll-focused role with real ownership across a headcount of approximately 600 employees.

    Responsibilities
    As our Payroll Supervisor, you'll take end-to-end ownership of payroll operations for a workforce across Australia and New Zealand:
    • End-to-end payroll processing- Manage fortnightly payroll cycles in full, from pre-processing through to post-payroll reconciliation and reporting
    • Compliance and legislation- Ensure adherence to Fair Work, PAYG, superannuation obligations, modern awards, and relevant tax legislation across both jurisdictions
    • External provider management- Partner with the outsourced payroll provider to ensure service levels are maintained and issues are resolved promptly
    • Reporting and reconciliation- Prepare payroll reports for internal stakeholders and liaise with Finance on general ledger allocations and month/year-end processes
    • Compensation and benefits administration- Support salary review cycles, bonus processing, leave accruals, and staff benefits administration
    • Audit and compliance- Work with internal compliance and audit teams on quarterly reviews, and respond to ad-hoc regulatory queries
    • Team leadership- Oversee and develop a direct report, providing coaching, feedback, and clear direction
    • Process improvement- Identify and drive efficiencies in payroll workflows, and support system implementation and continuous improvement projects
    Skills Needed
    • 3+ years of end-to-end payroll experience, ideally within a medium-to-large organisation
    • Demonstrated experience managing or overseeing payroll staff (essential)
    • Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, Fair Work Act, PAYG, and superannuation; New Zealand experience advantageous
