Reporting to the Executive Manager, you'll lead the procurement function across a diverse portfolio supporting manufacturing, logistics and operational services. You'll inherit a capable team while driving strategic sourcing initiatives, strengthening supplier partnerships and ensuring continuity of supply across a safety-critical environment.
What you'll be doing
- Develop and deliver procurement strategies aligned to business objectives.
- Lead strategic sourcing activities, major tenders and commercial negotiations.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while managing supplier performance and risk.
- Ensure continuity of supply across manufacturing and operational sites.
- Lead, mentor and develop a small procurement team.
- Drive contract management, governance and procurement best practice.
- Partner closely with Operations, Production, Finance and Logistics to deliver commercial outcomes.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement and value creation.
You'll bring proven procurement leadership experience within an industrial, manufacturing, mining, energy, chemicals or heavy engineering environment.
You'll also demonstrate:
- Experience leading strategic sourcing and category management initiatives.
- Strong commercial negotiation and contract management capability.
- The ability to influence senior stakeholders and build trusted relationships across the business.
- Experience managing supplier performance, commercial risk and business continuity.
- Previous leadership experience, with a passion for developing people.
