    Our client is a well established organisation with a strong reputation for delivering essential services to the community. They are seeking an experienced Senior Project Accountant to join the team on an initial three month contract, supporting a number of key finance initiatives with an immediate focus on addressing audit findings and strengthening financial controls.

    This is an opportunity to step into a business that is committed to continuous improvement, where you will work closely with senior stakeholders to deliver meaningful outcomes across finance projects.

    The Role
    • Lead the remediation of external and internal audit findings, ensuring recommendations are implemented effectively
    • Review and strengthen financial controls, policies, and governance frameworks
    • Identify opportunities to improve finance processes, systems, and reporting
    • Work closely with key stakeholders to deliver finance projects from planning through to implementation
    • Prepare and maintain documentation to support improved controls and compliance
    • Analyse financial information and provide practical recommendations to support business decisions
    • Assist with broader finance transformation and continuous improvement initiatives as required
    • Provide project support across the finance function during periods of change
    About You

    You will be a CA or CPA qualified accounting professional with demonstrated experience delivering finance projects within complex organisations. You may have a background in financial accounting, audit, audit, finance transformation or business improvement, with the ability to quickly understand issues and deliver practical solutions.

    You are comfortable working autonomously, engaging with stakeholders at all levels, and managing multiple priorities in a project environment. Strong analytical skills, excellent communication and a hands on approach will ensure your success in this role.

    The role is based in the northern suburbs with onsite parking.
