Join an established financial services company in Sydney CBD as their Senior Financial Accountant! This contract role offers the opportunity to work across financial and tax accounting in a technically robust environment.

As our Senior Financial Accountant, you'll deliver comprehensive financial accounting:
- Revenue Recognition- Process revenue under AASB 15 and investigate variances on monthly and YTD basis with insights on key drivers
- Project Cost Analysis- Review timesheet costs, analyze COGS allocation, and track against forecasts and budgets
- Lease Accounting- Process lease liability accounting under AASB 16
- Month-End Close- Execute journals, accruals, payroll accounting, and reconciliations to deadline
- Management Reporting- Prepare P&L statements and gross profit analysis with value-added commentary
- Balance Sheet Management- Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate irregular transactions
- Financial Statements- Assist with preparation of statements in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards
- Audit Liaison- Respond to external auditor requests with comprehensive documentation
- CA/CPA qualified with 2+ years post-qualification experience
- Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, lookups, and large data manipulation
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Excellent communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
