About the Role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you'll play a key role in delivering accurate financial operations while supporting a growing, fast-paced business.
This is intentionally a hands-on role. We're looking for someone who takes pride in producing accurate work, enjoys solving problems, and is motivated to improve how finance operates through better processes, systems and emerging technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver accurate and timely month-end reporting, including journals, reconciliations and accruals
- Supervise transactional finance processes across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, banking and payroll support, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and strong financial controls
- Support cash management activities, including banking, weekly payment runs and rolling cashflow forecasting
- Assist with management and statutory financial reporting across a multi-entity environment
- Coordinate tax and compliance obligations including BAS, IAS, payroll tax and other statutory reporting requirements
- Partner with the Financial Controller to maintain robust financial controls, accounting policies and governance
- Work closely with offshore team members, providing guidance, quality assurance and continuous support
- Identify opportunities to improve finance processes, automate repetitive tasks and leverage AI and emerging technologies to enhance efficiency
- Build strong relationships across the business while developing broader commercial finance capability
You'll be someone who enjoys getting the fundamentals right while always looking for a better way of doing things.
Ideally you'll bring:
- CA/CPA qualified or actively working towards completion
- Approximately 3-6 years' accounting experience within Audit, Business Services, Advisory or a commercial finance environment
- Strong technical accounting knowledge across financial reporting, reconciliations and compliance
- Excellent attention to detail with a disciplined, organised approach
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships across the business
- A genuine interest in process improvement, automation and AI
- A proactive mindset and desire to continue learning and developing
- Join a business experiencing significant growth both domestically and internationally
- Learn from experienced finance leaders committed to mentoring and development
- Gain exposure beyond traditional financial accounting into systems, process improvement and commercial finance
- Be part of a collaborative, high-performing finance team where your contribution is recognised
- Genuine long-term career progression as the business continues to grow
