We’re exclusively recruiting for a nationally operating organisation that is seeking a Senior Accounts Officer to join its finance team in Brisbane. The Role
As Senior Accounts Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate, timely and high-quality transactional finance support across the organisation. Working as part of a national finance team, you’ll act as a subject matter expert across accounts payable and systems, while contributing to process improvements and supporting internal stakeholders.
This role combines technical accounts work with leadership, stakeholder engagement and system enhancement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing end-to-end accounts payable processing and ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Acting as a subject matter expert for accounts systems, supporting training and process improvement
- Managing and reconciling corporate credit card transactions
- Partnering with internal teams to resolve queries and support financial processes across locations
- Providing guidance, training and feedback to offshore transactional team members
- Supporting other finance functions (e.g. billing, receivables, trust or general finance support) during peak periods
- Contributing to broader system, process and efficiency improvement initiatives
About You
You’re an experienced accounts professional who enjoys ownership, structure and working closely with stakeholders. You’re confident navigating systems, resolving issues and supporting others, and you take pride in delivering accurate, reliable outcomes.
You’ll bring:
- Strong experience in accounts payable or transactional finance
- High attention to detail and a process-driven mindset
- Confidence working across finance systems and supporting system improvements
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work with a range of stakeholders
- Experience providing guidance or informal leadership to others
