Based in Brisbane , this 12 month fixed term contract sits within a specialist infrastructure team leading complex greenfield investments delivered under long term public private partnership and concession frameworks. The team works closely with government and private sector consortiums to structure, finance and deliver nationally significant assets.
The Opportunity
This role sits at the centre of project finance and commercial structuring for major greenfield infrastructure projects delivered under public private partnership models.
Public private partnerships are long term, concession based arrangements between government and private sector consortiums, typically involving competitive bid processes, complex risk allocation and structured project finance funding.
You will play a key role in developing and stress testing financial models, assessing capital structures and supporting detailed investment and procurement business cases. Working closely with senior investment professionals, government stakeholders and external advisers, you will help shape how projects are structured, financed and delivered through to financial close and into ongoing asset management.
Your Responsibilities
You will contribute across the full transaction lifecycle including:
- Building and owning complex project finance models from first principles including DCF, IRR, NPV, sensitivities and scenario analysis
- Assessing capital structure and funding options across PPP and concession based procurement models
- Analysing debt sizing, covenant scenarios and the impact of revenue and risk allocation frameworks on gearing and returns
- Supporting commercial and financial inputs into detailed investment and procurement business cases
- Coordinating and contributing to due diligence across financial, commercial, legal, tax and technical workstreams
- Supporting financial close preparation and ongoing asset management reporting and performance analysis
About You
- 3 to 6 years experience working on public private partnership transactions, project finance or concession based infrastructure projects
- Direct involvement in PPP bid processes, financial close or structured project finance execution
- Strong understanding of availability based revenue models, concession agreements and risk allocation frameworks
- Advanced project finance modelling capability including debt sizing, covenant modelling and scenario analysis
- Commercially confident with the ability to engage senior stakeholders including government counterparties, lenders and external advisers
