The Opportunity
The business is expanding and its compliance requirements are growing with it. This role has been created to build out a dedicated compliance team, and the successful candidate will be a central part of that. You will report into the General Counsel and work across the full compliance framework, with real scope to make the role your own.
What You'll Be Doing
- Overseeing the organisation's compliance framework and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, internal policies and industry standards
- Drafting, reviewing and updating compliance policies and procedures in response to legislative changes
- Lodging documents with ASIC and managing fund documentation end to end
- Monitoring regulatory changes and ensuring the business stays ahead of its obligations
- Conducting internal reviews and risk assessments and implementing corrective actions where required
- Providing compliance training and embedding a culture of integrity and accountability across the business
- Supporting audit preparation through document collation, version control and records verification
- Advising on compliance aspects of new initiatives, markets and partnerships
- Solid compliance experience within financial services, ideally from a fund manager, investment manager or similar regulated environment
- Hands-on experience across compliance frameworks, policy development, risk identification and regulatory lodgements
- Exposure to managed investment schemes, AFSL obligations and ASIC reporting would be highly regarded
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex compliance matters clearly across the business
- Proactive, detail-oriented and comfortable working independently in a lean team
- Someone who takes genuine ownership and brings integrity to everything they do
