In this role, you will lead key commercial and contract administration activities across project delivery works. You will work closely with project managers, engineers and site teams to support the successful delivery of infrastructure upgrades and improvement works across the network, while also providing guidance and oversight to junior commercial team members.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading subcontractor and supplier contract administration across projects
- Reviewing and approving subcontractor progress claims in collaboration with project teams
- Leading negotiations relating to variations, delays and contractual claims
- Monitoring project costs, forecasting and supporting accurate commercial reporting
- Supporting procurement activities including RFQs, tender evaluations and subcontract awards
- Ensuring compliance with head contract requirements and commercial obligations
- Maintaining strong commercial documentation, reporting and contract records
- Providing commercial guidance and support to project managers and engineers
- Chairing subcontractor meetings and resolving contractual matters
- Mentoring and supporting junior Contract Administrators and project staff
- Senior level Contract Administration experience within construction, infrastructure or civil projects
- Strong commercial and contractual acumen
- Experience managing claims, variations and subcontractor negotiations
- Confident leading commercial discussions and guiding project teams
- High attention to detail in reporting and compliance
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
