Our client is a well-established freight forwarding company based in Brisbane's northern suburbs. Known for their collaborative culture and impressive staff retention, they continue to expand and are now seeking a more senior customer service professional to join their growing operations team.
The Role
As a Senior Customer Service Officer, you will be the key link between a portfolio of clients and internal logistics teams, ensuring shipments are delivered accurately and on time. This role carries a higher level of ownership and autonomy than a standard CSO position and suits someone with a solid foundation in freight forwarding who is ready to take on more responsibility. Over time there is a pathway for the right person to step into a broader or supervisory capacity.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of client accounts, providing timely and accurate communication on shipment status
- Coordinate with carriers, Customs brokers and logistics partners across land, air and sea freight
- Prepare and check freight documentation and delivery orders
- Support invoicing, payment verification and accurate record keeping
- Work closely with internal teams to resolve issues and maintain service quality
- Identify opportunities to enhance client satisfaction and improve processes
- Experience in freight forwarding or customs is preferred, though strong candidates from adjacent logistics backgrounds will be considered
- Able to manage a high volume of accounts and competing priorities with confidence
- Strong communicator with the professionalism and judgment to handle client relationships independently
- Proactive, detail-oriented and reliable with a solution-focused approach
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and logistics or freight systems
- Team player who is ready to take on more responsibility and contribute to the team around them
- $80,000 to $100,000 base salary + super, depending on experience
